Wedding Budget Planner
Be careful when looking at automated budget planners or average costs. Estimates do vary greatly since there are so many options to choose from. Each item on your budget list can have a wide range of prices depending upon your tastes and priorities etc. For example, a wedding dress, you could buy a good second hand dress for just £150 or buy a top designer dress for £4,000 or more!
The number of guests you have and how well you want to cater for them will be a major part of any budget. For example, if you had 100 guests and wanted to have a traditional wedding breakfast, the cost per head could be £50. This would give a total of £5,000. A buffet may only cost £20 per head, bringing the total down to £2,000. On top of this there are drinks to consider and the evening party.
Selecting the venue to cater for the wedding breakfast and the evening party is a key element to decide early as this may influence your guest numbers. Some venues may force minimum numbers, for example if you wish to have 150 evening guests then the same hall for the wedding breakfast may have a minimum of 60.
